Emil N. Liszniansky, AICP, Esq., PE

Emil is a licensed attorney, certified planner, and registered engineer with over a decade of experience in the planning, design, and implementation of community enhancements ranging from comprehensive plans and community revitalization efforts, to transportation corridor improvements, freight mobility plans, and interchange modifications to complete and green streets projects, trail enhancements and streetscapes. He is experienced in all facets of the of the project development process from visioning, concept development and public involvement, to environmental documentation and detailed design all the way to strategic planning and grant writing. Emil brings a unique perspective to the planning process as his engineering background allows him to identify potential design constraints early in concept development and provide creative, yet feasible solutions, while his legal training allows him to successfully navigate complex environmental, administrative, and regulatory issues that arise during project development.  He holds a Juris Doctor from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, a Masters of Urban Planning, Design and Development from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Akron.

 

Ryan M. Smalley, AICP, PE

Ryan has over a decade of experience in urban planning and design with a primary focus in transportation and multimodal connectivity enhancements, park and recreation facilities, green infrastructure and context sensitive design solutions. He has worked with a host of clients ranging from multiple Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Districts, Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), County Engineers, Municipalities, Park Districts and Community Development Corporations throughout the State of Ohio.  Ryan has managed numerous planning and design projects throughout his career and utilized his unique skill set as both an engineer and planner to help his clients “dream big” while still finding cost effective, practical solutions.  Ryan holds a Masters Degree in Urban Planning, Design and Development and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, both from Cleveland State University.  He serves on the Board of Directors for the Lake Erie Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) and is a committee chair for the 2018 ASHE National Convention. Ryan is also an active member in the Ohio Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA).
